MAC Mineralized Blush Makeup Review

MAC Cosmetics are very popular, but very expensive as well. I recently purchased a few MAC Cosmetics to try out, to see if this makeup brand is really worth the higher end price. The hype for this brand is widely huge, especially in the United States and Canada, Firstly, I want to say that it was hard to find any MAC makeup in my Corpus Chirsti, Texas Mall. I went to Ulta and they did not carry any MAC products, so then I went to Sephora, and they were all out too! My very last stop was Macy’s, and thankfully they did have this makeup brand in stock. I could have went the easier route and purchased this makeup online, but I am always hesitant and won’t purchase something unless I know that I absolutely love it. So, purchasing any MAC products online is probably going to be the easiest way to make any purchases, but make sure you test it out ahead of time. You can check out all of the MAC products online here! 😉

One of the MAC products that I purchased was the Mineralized Blush, in the GENTLE shade. I paid $32.00 for this blush. I also purchased their mascara, eye shadow and their pro longwear foundation. The first thing that sticks out about this makeup is the packaging that it comes in and the black pop open container. The packaging and container are both very elegant to me. What can I say, I am a sucker for those two things! 😉 I am always skeptical when it comes to purchasing new blushes! In my personal experience, some blushes are too brown for me, some come out really orange, and some come out dark red. My skin tone is very fair, so that is most likely why finding the perfect blush for me is hard to find!

This MAC blush is light pink in color and also comes with a touch of shimmer. It is in powder form, which I love! The texture is very soft, one of the softest blushes that I have ever come across. When applying it, I had to add an extra amount of blush than I usually do with other blushes. This blush comes out very, very subtle, which was extremely surprising to me. In comparison to other drug store brands, I think that this MAC blush is better because of the color and texture. Even though, I do have to apply this blush more to my cheeks, the outcome of the color is beautiful and a bit sassy! The shimmer in this blush just adds a little more sass to it! I give the this MAC blush a 9 Stars out of 10, with 10 being the best. 🙂

If you are not wanting to spend the higher-end price, I completely understand! My favorite blush that is almost similar to this MAC blush, is the CoverGirl cheekers in classic pink, number 110. The cost for the CoverGirl blush is $4.99 and is completely worth every penny! I highly recommend both blushes! Have you tried any MAC products? If so, what was your experience? Let me know by leaving a comment below! 😉

I’ve never tried MAC, but now I want to. I’m fair skinned also and don’t like looking orange or washed out. I 1st thought the price was a bit high but it sounds like such a worthwhile blush to try. I’m going to see if I can find it this weekend – thanks!

Apparently, I’ve been living under a rock as I’ve never heard of MAC cosmetics. I am willing to pay more for good face products so I’m glad to hear you liked these. I’m off to visit their website to learn more about the company and their product line!

I have not tried any of these products, I’m probably more likely to go with the Cover Girl Cheekers blush. Thanks for the great info.

I love MAC makeup, but it is pricey, but so worth it sometimes for a great product. I love the mascara, I use it daily. Work wonders for me.

The mascara is great, I love it too!! I agree, MAC products are pricey, but the quality of these products are worth it. 🙂

My daughter loves MAC products. I know she has tried the blush but she didn’t buy it. She mostly uses their eye color pots and their eye liner. Since this blush is so might it might be just right for her. I will have to show her your review. Thanks!

I haven’t tried mineral makeup in some time- being older I have found it sits wrong, and really accentuates wrinkles (and I have a bunch) I liked your review though and for me the blush works better than the all over foundation part.

I’ve heard of mac, but I’ve never actually tried any of their products and I’ll second that they’re kinda difficult to find in stores.
I’m interested but the price is a little much. Maybe I’ll try that covergirl blush you mentioned instead.

Omg, they are SO difficult to find in stores – it is beyond ridiculous! Let me know how you like the CoverGirl blush, it is awesome too and very cheap. 😉

The MAC blush does feel really silky. I love the color too! Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my review!! 🙂

Wow, that is quite the price tag for a blush! From your review it sounds like it’s worth it though… maybe someone will get it for me for Christmas if I put it on my list 😉
