Texas State Aquarium Review

The Texas State Aquarium is located in downtown Corpus Christi, and is one of the best Aquariums that I have ever been to. If you live in Texas, or you are planning on visiting Texas anytime soon, you should really check out this fun Aquarium. This is a go-to place for the entire Family to enjoy! They have a lot of animals, including dolphins, otters, turtles, birds, stingrays and more. The price for an adult ticket is $19.45, and children 3 to 12 years of age only cost $14.45. All children 2 years old and younger get in for FREE! They also have special discounts for Military and Senior Citizens.

This is more than just an Aquarium, it also has a fun Splash Park for the kids! If you are getting hot from being outside, sit underneath an umbrella, relax, eat some Dippin’ Dots and have your little ones enjoy splashing in the water. 😉 It is so hot in Texas, this splash park just makes this Aquarium that much better. I know the splashing around may feel like it is just for kids, but adults can have fun playing in it too. Just remember to bring your bathing suits if you plan on going to this fun splash park.

The dolphins show is another great attraction! Be sure to get there ahead of time though, because seats fill up quickly. The trainers get to interact with the dolphins during the show. Also, the staff is very educational about the dolphins. The thing I thought was really interesting was that the dolphins were born in this Aquarium. I really loved hearing that! If you are visiting this Aquarium, the dolphin show is a must see! You can check out all of the times for the shows here.

This Aquarium also has other shows, including the Rigs to Reefs show, the Wildlife show, the Stingray chat, the You Otter Know This show and the animal encounter show. Be sure to check out the turtles and the shark touching area too! If you have ever been to this Aquarium, I would love to know your thoughts. What Aquariums have you been to and what has been your favorite one so far?  Remember these Aquariums exist to better educate and help save our oceans. 🙂

I haven’t been to an aquarium. This looks wonderful, and the splash park, too. So enticing. It would be worth it to be hot just to have a blast there.

I live in Corpus… the aquarium is really nice but if you pay full price I feel like it’s pricey for a relatively small aquarium. Fortunately, though, you can almost always find discounts online through places like Groupon, Recyclebank, etc, that make it worth it.

Love the turtle photo! This sounds like a lot of fun. My grandkids would enjoy the turtles and splash park plus this is a place the whole family can enjoy.
